New Zealand: Fire Breaks Out at Abilities Group Recycling Depot in Auckland 2

A large fire erupted at the Abilities Group Recycling Depot in Auckland's Wairau Valley on Thursday, April 23, around 5:24 p.m., sending dark smoke across the suburbs. According to reports, batteries burning inside the facility fueled the fire, prompting authorities to issue a "stay inside" warning.

The 19th Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou between September 23 and October 8, featuring a total of 40 sports. It will be the third Asian Games to be hosted in China, after Beijing 1990 and Guangzhou 2010. Kiyomizudera Temple

The West Gate and Sanjuno-to (three-story pagoda) of Kiyomizu Temple looking from the east side of Nio Gate. The stairs on the right lead to the West Gate and those on the left directly to the pagoda. The western slope of the gate has kishigoma lanterns. The West Gate, built in 1631, is a kirizuma structure with hiwada roof. Kiyomizudera Temple,Kyoto

The Nio Gate of Kiyomizu Temple. There are stone lanterns on both the north and the south sides of the stone stairway in front of the gate. The west gate and the three-story pagoda are visible on the far right. Built during the Muromachi Era (1392-1573), the Nio Gate had three rooms and one door with a hiwadabuki (bark-covered) roof. The statue of Kongo Rikishi is situated in the area surrounded by a kongo fence (a fence made of vertical stakes with decoratively shaped finials resembling the ritual object called kongosho used in esoteric Buddhist rites) with lattice work above it. Osu Kannon Temple and the five-story pagoda

Honmachi Dori, which connects Nagoya Castle and Atsuta, was the main street in Nagoya during the Edo Period. Osu Kannon is located on the west side of Honmachi Dori. This photograph was taken from south of Osu Kannon. The buildings are (from the left) the main hall, five-story pagoda, and study. The kuri (priests' quarters) is in the background to the right. The theatre is in the right foreground. The Nio Gate is on the far right. Nagoya Castle is visible in the distance to the north between the main hall and the pagoda. A picture postcard using a similar photograph is entitled, View of Osu Kannon taken on May 12, 1880 and published by Zentokuji Temple. This photograph was probably taken around the same time. Five-tiered pagoda at Toji Temple

The five-story pagoda of Nin'naji Temple is seen from the west. Tall pine and cherry trees reach into the sky. The road in the foreground connects Niohmon Gate and Kondo Hall. The pagoda was built in 1637 by the third shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu. Each side is approximately 5.5m wide. Sarusawa Pond

A pond located to the south of Kofukuji Temple with a perimeter of about 300 meters has fish released in it by the temple. To the south west of this pond, there used to be tomb of a monkey who was said to have offered sweets to Kobo Daishi in training almost everyday.
